Elephants in Edinburgh

“Elephants and Bagels” and “The Elephant House” are two popular spots in Edinburgh! After hearing about both the casual cafe near George Square on University of Edinburgh’s campus and the restaurant on George IV Bridge, I decided to check out Elephants and Bagels last week. The cozy atmosphere, the crowd of Edinburgh students, and the smell of toasted bagels (Americans, you know we do bagels well!), and the crowd of students welcomed me to the cafe. I plan to go get a Scottish breakfast, lunch or dinner (with some haggis, please!) at The Elephant House soon. I know my friends who are passionate Harry Potter fans will want to join…Did you know J.K. Rowling wrote many chapters of the first few Harry Potter books while looking out to Edinburgh Castle from the back room of The Elephant House?
